​A word about Bible Studies at TSJ

Worship is the place where God gathers His people around His Word and the Sacraments – where His mighty action towards us is accomplished; which is His forgiveness through the Cross. Bible Study gives us the opportunity to understand and delve deeper into God’s Holy Word for us. Direct supervision of all that is taught at TSJ is the responsibility of our Pastor. You have the assurance that what is taught in our Bible classes will be the pure Word of God and not just pious opinion. Our Bible classes are open to all – members and guests.
 
High School students are encouraged to attend our High School Bible Class or the Adult Class on Sunday morning. The subject matters and topics discussed in class will continue to build on the foundation of the Prophets and the Apostles with Christ Jesus the Chief Cornerstone. These classes will well prepare you as many of you transition from the spiritual care of TSJ (temporary or permanent) for college and/or job opportunities.
 
If you are not comfortable in a group setting for Bible Study there are several options to continue your reading and/or study of God’s Word. On this Website there are pages and direct links to Bible readings and study plans as well as video instruction from Lutheran Hour Ministry or other sites reviewed and recommended by our pastor. One-on-one instruction with Pastor Riley is also an option; contact him to make arrangements.
